These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Founder’s Weight website and your participation in our events, community, accelerator program, and any other services we offer. By accessing our website or purchasing a ticket, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. About Founder’s Weight

Founder’s Weight is a quarterly founder community and business gathering based in Lagos, Nigeria operating at foundersweight.org.

2. Use of Our Website

By using our website you agree to:

• Use the website only for lawful purposes
• Not reproduce, distribute, or republish any content from our website without written permission
• Not use the website in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its functionality
• Not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its related systems
• Not use automated tools to scrape or extract content from our website

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to our website for any user who violates these terms.

3. Ticket Purchase & Payments

3.1 Purchasing Tickets
All ticket purchases are processed through our secure payment partners. By completing a purchase you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided and that the information you submit is accurate.

3.2 Ticket Confirmation
Your ticket is confirmed upon receipt of full payment. A confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided at the time of purchase.

3.3 Pricing
All ticket prices are displayed in Nigerian Naira (₦) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes. Prices are subject to change at any time before purchase.

3.4 Free Tickets
Free ticket applications are subject to review and approval by the Founder’s Weight team. Submitting an application does not guarantee a free ticket. Approved applicants will be notified by email within 48 hours of application.

4. Refund & Transfer Policy

4.1 Refunds
All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. We do not offer refunds for any reason including inability to attend, change of plans, or dissatisfaction with the event.

4.2 Ticket Transfers
Tickets are transferable to another person up to 48 hours before the event. To transfer your ticket contact us at admin@foundersweight.org with the name and email address of the new attendee.

4.3 Event Cancellation
In the unlikely event that Founder’s Weight cancels an edition, registered ticket holders will receive a full refund or the option to transfer their ticket to the next available edition.

4.4 Event Postponement
If an edition is postponed, your ticket will remain valid for the rescheduled date. Refunds will not be issued for postponements.

5. Community Membership

5.1 Eligibility
Community membership is open to founders, business owners, creatives, and startups. Membership is subject to application and approval by the Founder’s Weight team.

5.2 Member Conduct
All community members agree to engage respectfully and honestly with other members. We reserve the right to suspend or remove any member whose conduct is deemed harmful, disrespectful, or inconsistent with the values of the Founder’s Weight community.

5.3 Membership Termination
We reserve the right to terminate membership at our discretion for violation of community guidelines or these Terms and Conditions.

6. Accelerator Program

6.1 Enrollment
Enrollment in the Founder’s Weight Accelerator is subject to application, interview, and acceptance by the team. Payment confirms your place in the cohort.

6.2 Program Fees
Accelerator fees are non-refundable once the program has commenced. If you withdraw before the program begins a partial refund may be considered at our discretion.

6.3 Program Changes
We reserve the right to make changes to the accelerator curriculum, schedule, or mentors where necessary. We will notify enrolled founders of any significant changes in advance.

7. Volunteer Terms

7.1 Application
Volunteer applications are subject to review and approval. Submitting an application does not guarantee a volunteer position.

7.2 Commitment
Volunteers are expected to fulfil the responsibilities agreed upon at the time of onboarding. Failure to fulfil volunteer commitments may result in removal from the volunteer program.

7.3 Compensation
Volunteer roles are unpaid. Volunteers receive the benefits outlined on our Community page in recognition of their contribution.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Founder’s Weight website — including text, graphics, logos, photography, and event materials — is the intellectual property of Founder’s Weight and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or use our content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent. Sharing our content for personal, non-commercial purposes with proper attribution is permitted.

9. Photography & Media

By attending a Founder’s Weight event you consent to being photographed or filmed. Images and video captured at our events may be used for marketing, social media, and promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed please notify a member of our team on the day.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Founder’s Weight shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of our website or attendance at our events
• Any loss or damage to personal property at our events
• Any actions or omissions of third party speakers, mentors, or service providers
• Any technical issues affecting our website or payment systems

Your attendance at Founder’s Weight events and use of our services is at your own risk.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Founder’s Weight, its team, and its partners harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms and Conditions or your conduct at our events or within our community.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
